The ample profitability in the rest of the group was so healthy that the likelihood of non-payment of interest and redemption was very small given the interconnectedness between the entities and the borrower’s guarantee in private. Even if there were an issue, there remained a 1st mortgage on a property of ample value. All in all, an excellent proposition for the investor with very low risk. With a gross return of 6.25% perfectly suited to the low risk.”
