Intermediaries in credit provision play a crucial role

With their strong client relationships, intermediaries stay closely attuned to the needs of SMEs and professional real estate investors. They are deeply involved in the key moments of an entrepreneur’s journey, particularly during major investments. This close involvement gives them a profound understanding of their clients.

While every SME ideally seeks low-cost financing from a bank, this isn’t always feasible. The increasing automation in banks often makes them less suited for SME credit needs, with applications frequently processed without human oversight. That’s where intermediaries, in partnership with WDL Kredietfondsen, truly shine. Together, we work to find practical solutions that work.

At WDL Kredietfondsen, we prioritize different factors and reasoning. We support intermediaries and their clients in turning plans into reality, collaborating closely and respecting the intermediary’s client relationship throughout the entire financing period.

 

We offer three types of business financing

The WDL 1st Mortgage Fund provides loans to Dutch SMEs and real estate investors. The term of your loan has a maximum term of 5 years. The mandate for lending to borrowers lies with the fund manager WDL Kredietfondsen B.V.

The WDL High Yield Fund offers loans to Dutch SMEs, real estate developers, and investors when other financing options are unavailable, but the risk remains manageable. This includes loans to rapidly growing companies in need of additional working capital and businesses experiencing a temporary cash flow dip but showing proven recovery.

With WDL Direct Lending, our investors provide one-on-one loans to borrowers. These loans are analyzed, structured, administered, and managed by WDL Kredietfondsen. The decision to grant the loan always rests with the investor.

Contact

We discuss the credit needs and background of the client, either by phone or email.

Quick Scan

We conduct a Quick Scan: an analysis of the application and the company. This analysis is tailored to the specific case, and we assess the risk. The outcome is then communicated back to the intermediary.

Indicative term sheet

Our specialists prepare an indicative term sheet. We summarize the financing structure and provide our expectations regarding the opportunities with investors. Typically, we deliver the term sheet within one business day.

Proposal

Accepted the indicative term sheet? Our goal is to provide certainty about the financing within 2 weeks. We perform a final analysis and present a proposal to investors or the fund management. If no commitment is made within two weeks of the final analysis, your client is not obligated and no fees will be charged.

Documentation

Once the investor or fund manager agrees to the investment, draft documentation of the loan is provided to both parties. Upon mutual agreement, the documents are signed, and a formal commitment is made.

Disbursement

We oversee the entire financing process and set up the loan administration. If necessary, we arrange for a notarial deed. Once everything is signed, the disbursement takes place. WDL Kredietfondsen manages the loan and handles the collection of interest and repayments.
