Introducing: Caroline Tigchelaar

Position: financial controller

Caroline: Within WDL, I am the financial controller. This means that I am responsible for taking care of the entire financial administration, as well as preparing financial analyses and tax returns.

I have worked in finance all my life. I started in accounts payable and through various companies eventually moved into the financial controller position. I did this at different types of companies, from an eyewear wholesaler to a manufacturing company. I have a passion for numbers and love it when numbers connect both left and right.

No day is the same

What really appeals to me at WDL is that it is a small club of driven people. Because of its size, a lot is possible because there is a lot of flexibility. For my position, this means a lot of varied work, so no day is the same.

From Bruce Springsteen to Rammstein

When I’m not at work, I like to go hiking with my husband Maurice and take pictures. My great passion is music. I attend concerts very regularly and can enjoy them intensely. I like many kinds of music and have seen many top acts, including U2, Bruce Springsteen, Pink, George Michael. The heavier work is also on my mind; I’ve been to Rammstein and Within Temptation several times. My 13-year-old daughter has also been going to concerts for several years and since last year she discovered K-pop. We also go there regularly. Last year in Brussels and this year we are going to Dusseldorf.
